Interferential Therapy

Interferential Therapy is a type of electrical modality that sends small electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate underlying nerves and tissue. These impulses don't hurt, but they sometimes tickle and can cause the muscle to twitch. This modality works very well in reducing pain, edema, spasm, and inflammation. Certain frequencies actually aid in releasing endorphins which work like natural pain killers. This reduces or eliminates the need for most pain-related drugs.

Interferential Therapy has been in used for many years and its effectiveness is well documented. Studies have shown that patients using Interferential Therapy for acute spasms and back pain recover faster, feel better, and develop fewer complications than those relying solely on narcotics for pain relief. Interferential Therapy in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments aids in circulation, increases recovery time, and helps patients get back on their feet quicker.
